The main roads of Dubai become quite congested at times. Ironically, it is when the traffic is moving slowest drivers are hit with an urge to drive fastest. According to the Acting Director of the Traffic Department, Bridgadier Eisa Aman, the Emirates Road and Shaikh Zayed Road are currently among the two most dangerous roads in Dubai. You should remember this when driving in those areas because as far as statistics are concerned you need to be extra cautious on those roads.

Another area that statistics highlight is that most of the speeding incidents occur among youngsters between the ages of 23-27. This is just the age when parental supervision begins to get relaxed and newfound freedom can lead to rash driving. Further temptation is provided by good condition of the roads in Dubai. A flat and clean road is like an open invitation to cross speed limit but that invitation needs to be declined firmly in the interests of safety.
